The farmers are the primary producers and play a significant role in meeting the flora and fauna requirement of the ever-growing population of our country, which stands at 1.35 billion according to the latest data released by the United Nations.
Since India, still continuing mostly to be an Agrarian Economy in nature irrespective of the significant rise in industrialization post-Independence time period, ensuring the welfare of our farmers and sustainable development of their socio-economic conditions are of primary importance to us.
The smooth functioning of our Democratically elected Governments and their performances largely depend on the yielded harvests of our farmers, to keep the food prices under control to ward off any threat in the form of inflationary pressures.
MEWA undertakes various initiatives to stand by our Farmer Fraternity by bringing them all under one roof through creation of Farmers’ Club and provides solutions on various issues that pose a big challenge to cultivation, irrigation, soil depletion and over-usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
MEWA brings about a paradigm shift in the age-old traditional way of farming and cultivation processes through application of Innovative techniques involving intensive farming in pisciculture, animal husbandry, goatery, poultry, duckery and also responsible for introducing the concept of preparing Vermicompost made from a particular Indian earthworm.
MEWA specializes in imparting unique technique of Aquaculture converting sewage water into fresh water and then releasing 25 million bulk litres of such fresh water daily into our Holy Ganges which is facing the menace of unprecedented levels of pollution.
MEWA is responsible for introducing the unique Basin Culture and Cage Culture of Fish Farming in Andhra Pradesh thereby making it emerge as the largest producer and supplier of fish in India. MEWA takes credit in introducing the same technique of aquaculture in the Mediterranean Sea for a company in Greece in a state-of-the-art environment and technology at its production centre. MEWA has the experience of providing solutions to severe drought conditions in Chattisgarh and some parts of Maharashtra in India.
