MEWA has provided guidance to the severe water crisis faced by California, USA in the recent past wherein the Governor of California was compelled to cut water supply by 25% to every household to deal with the situation.
MEWA emphasizes on the need to maintain the natural ecosystem of the water bodies ensuring existence of planktons at an optimum level. The fishes, thus produced, possess much higher levels of natural nutritional value than the best quality fishes available even in the International market ensuring the most-needed supply of natural nutrients in people, when consumed. This effort of MEWA is aimed at fighting the biggest menace of malnutrition in people which still haunts our country alarmingly, having maximum number of malnourished children in the world – 1 out of every 3 children !!!
MEWA has imparted the SRI (Systematic Rice Intensification) technique of Rice cultivation in certain parts of Bengal which involves substantially less amount of supply of water resource and much higher yield per acreage of cultivated land. This
method was first practiced in Madagascar many years back but such highly scientific method of cultivation has unfortunately gone into oblivion.
MEWA has imparted unprecedented training technique to numerous Potato Farmers of Bengal in growing the crop even on pure Concrete Surfaces without the need of any Soil, Water or Fertilizers, a technique absolutely unheard of, to provide solutions particularly to these farmers, whose suicidal rates are the highest compared to other farmers in the country being unable to retire the amount borrowed at an abnormally high rate of interest from the private money-lenders who are rampant because of the very high cost of production associated with the traditional process of farming which the farmers otherwise resort to. MEWA vows to give relief to these potato farmers by imparting its unique technique of natural potato farming at almost zero cost of production.
